In Sydney in June, NATSIEC (National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ecumenical Commission) met to discuss a response to the Northern Territory Emergency Response.  This is an important document that will help inform many of us as to how we can think more deeply and respond more intelligently to this issue.  This link will take you through to the NATSIEC site, where you just need to follow the link to the pdf. 

 

UNOH Finance Manager Position Info

Churches of Christ in Australia have made a commitment to resourcing local churches and our State Offices.  In order to do this effectively, we have developed a survey that will help us identify what our values are as a Movement.  We are asking that you take about 10 -15 minutes  (max) to fill this survey in.  All you need to do is click here and it will take you directly to the survey.  Each question is quite straightforward.  From this survey, we are hoping to gain a picture of what local churches think our values are, how often they talk about those values and where those particular values are most widely held, be it in particular states, or certain sized churches. 

 

Your help here will be invaluable. This survey is not a "be all and end all" avenue to discovering and understanding our values, but it is an important springboard to better resourcing our Movement. 

 

Not all people have access to the internet, or feel comfortable using it.  I would encourage you to print off copies for those people, and then send them into me at the following address:

I have just returned from a special Ecumenical Meeting with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI at which I was proud to represent Churches of Christ in Australia. In a conversation I was privileged to have with His Holiness he showed particularly interested in our movement. I gave him a greeting and welcome on behalf of our churches and expressed what a pleasure it is to experience the spirit of joy and excitement being engendered by the world's Catholic youth ( Pilgrims) in World Youth Day. I also expressed great pleasure in the fact that youth from all Christian persuasions were joining together to enthusiastically and joyfully share the Gospel with the nation.
