For Your Convenience

The State Office welcomes visits from folk from our
churches and want to be sure we are available to assist
you with your enquiry.  However, on some occasions the
office will be unattended. This will be due to the"out of
office" responsibilities of the State Ministry Team and to
the small number of administrative staff, particularly
when staff are on leave or days off.  If you need to make
a special trip to the office, please ring beforehand
(8269 7873) to ensure that you are not inconvenienced
and there will be someone at the office to assist you.
Thank you.

GMP Annual General Meeting 2010

The Global Mission Partners Annual General Meeting
will be held on October 30th at the Churches of Christ
Theological College (CCTC), Mulgrave in Melbourne.
The theme will be ‘Being in Global Mission'.  The program
will commence around 10:30am and feature stories from
churches that are directly connecting with settings of
global mission.  Some of the new partnerships of GMP
in Indonesia, Sudan and Vietnam have emerged as
people and churches become directly involved in
mission.

The programme will include lunch and in the afternoon
the formal Annual General Meeting will take place.  The
guest speaker at the AGM will be the Principal of CCTC
Dr Andrew Menzies. Andrew has had a long involvement
in mission both in local church life and globally. We will be
inviting him to explore the connections in mission both
local and global.

The annual report will be presented and be considered
by the meeting, the election of Board members will be
confirmed and the annual financial statements will be
adopted. More details will be available in due course.
Plan now to attend, contribute and learn more at the AGM.

Church Health and Vitality

At convention the Mission Resource Team presented
a report on Church Health and Vitality. It was a
significant report and the gathered churches
responded together in acknowledging that God was
speaking to us through it. In response we as a family
of churches prayed for one another and committed
to seek to grow in health and vitality together.

Specifically we committed to:

  • Meet together in regional groups to look at health
    and vitality
  • Stay informed about these issues and upcoming
events by signing up to an email list
  • Attend some teaching sessions to grapple with
the issues of  gospel, culture and models of church

More information about a state response to this report
will be out soon. In the mean time sign up to the MRT
email list by emailing

Just Faith
has been designed for Churches who are
interested in exploring the connections between their
faithand the big issues of our world today.  Participants
are invited to open their Bibles, open their eyes, open
their minds, and open their hearts.

Through Just Faith your congregation is invited to reflect
on the way they see and understand the world - that is,
their 'worldview'. When we think about the world, what
intrigues us? What questions do we ask, and, more
interestingly perhaps, what questions don't we ask? In
response, we will consider what a biblical worldview
looks like, and how such a worldview challenges our faith
and life. While this may be an uncomfortable process at
times, we hope you are able to remain open and trust the
Spirit of God to be at work in you - stirring you, inspiring
you, and giving you hope.
Just Faith incorporates Sermons, Small Group Studies,
Daily Devotionals and Children/Youth Resources.

the Elizabeth
Church of Christ as well.  The book costs
$10.00 and is available from the Elizabeth Church Office
or they would be willing to post just adding postage cost.
Please make enquiries to Mr Rod Row, Office Administrator,
