The CareWorks 2009 Bushfire Appeal raised over $375,000, which has been distributed as promised, mostly to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal and the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal. The remaining funds are available for churches in the affected areas to access for approved projects. Latest update available here

Conference Council affirmation of Jillian Carson Feb 2009:
Conference Council recognises the decade of outstanding leadership offered by Jillian Carson to the Conference of Churches of Christ in Vic/Tas (particularly through her executive leadership of the Partner Department of Community Care), to Churches of Christ in Australia (particularly through the ongoing national aged care conversation), and to the wider aged care industry (particularly through her participation in relevant not-for-proft and other peak industry bodies); and Council places on record its appreciation of Jillian, and its affirmation of her as a person of significant leadership across our Conference for that period.
